Violinist Ana Julija Mlejnik has proved herself as a soloist on international stages such as Tokio, Paris, London, Brussels, Ancona, Ljubljana and Toronto. Amongst her more important performances was the one at Queen's Elizabeth's visit of Slovenia in 2008 where she performed as a soloist in the Slovenian Philharmony with the Slovenian brass orchestra.

She won first prize at the Genova international competition and has shared the stage with many important musicians (G. Pehlivanian, Y. Horigome, A. Meneses, B. H. Van De Velde, L. Cossi, L. Trotovšek, A. Spasić, L. Novak…).

Besides that she is the artistic director of chamber music festival Loka da Camera in Škofja Loka, Slovenia.

She is a big enthusiast in chamber music and is a standing member of baroque ensemble London Brandenburg Soloists.

 

Ana Julija Mlejnik is a native of the picturesque, ancient town of Škofja Loka, an area that contributed a large number of important Slovenian cultural personalities. She inherited her love of music from her musical family. She started learning violin in her hometown and then continued her studies in the class of prof. Tatjana Špragar in Ljubljana. She finished Musical Highschool and Classical Gimnasyium. Ana Julija proceeded to advanced studies with prof. Gorjan Košuta at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. In 2013 she finished her bachelor diploma with the highest grades. Afterwards she continued to study for her masters diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels under the guidance of world-famous violinist - and winner of Queen Elisabeth's competition - Yuzuko Horigome. In 2016 she graduated with a distinction. She continued to study for a concert musician (concertmusicus) in the class of Horigome as a postgraduate student and finished in 2018 with great distinction (magna cum laude).

Ana Julija also took interest in baroque music and studied as a student of baroque violin in the class of prof. Ryo Terakado.

Besides that she took advice from many other famous professors: R. Friend, I. Ozim, J. Fisher, G. Pauk, S. Kim, C. Forough, S. Ryu, S. Shipps, V. Szabadi, K. Yon, J. Talich, S. Ashkenasi.

Violinistka Ana Julija Mlejnik beleži uspehe na mednarodnih odrih in je kot solistka z orkestrom debitirala v Londonu, Parizu, Tokiu, Bruslju, Anconi, Torontu in Ljubljani (Cankarjev Dom). Med drugim je leta 2008 ob obisku britanske kraljice Elizabete II. in vojvode Edinburškega kot solistka igrala s Policijskim orkestrom v veliki dvorani Slovenske filharmonije.

Oder je že delila z mnogimi velikimi glasbenimi imeni, kot so maestro George Pehlivanian, maestro Bartholomeus Henri Van De Velde, Yuzuko Horigome, Antonio Meneses, Lorenzo Cossi, Lana Trotovšek, maestro Aleksander Spasić, Liliana Novak…

Poleg tega je artistična direktorica festivala komorne glasbe Loka da Camera v Škofji Loki.

Na mednarodnem tekmovanju mladih glasbenikov v Genovi je osvojila prvo nagrado.

Zelo rada se tudi udejstvuje v komornih zasedbahin je stalna članica baročnega ansambla London Brandenburg Soloists.

 

Ana Julija je začela igrati violino pri šestih letih na Glasbeni šoli Škofja Loka in šolanje nadaljevala pod mentorstvom prof. Tatjane Špragar v Ljubljani.  Po uspešno opravljeni maturi je bila leta 2009 sprejeta na Akademijo za glasbo v Ljubljani. Tam je študirala v violinskem razredu prof. Gorjana Košute in leta 2013 tudi diplomirala. Študij je nadaljevala na Kraljevem konzervatoriju v Bruslju, v razredu svetovno priznane violinistke in zmagovalke tekmovanja Kraljice Elizabete, prof. Yuzuko Horigome. Leta 2016 je magistrirala z izredno pohvalo (magna cum laude). Visoka ocena je Ani Juliji omogočila smer podiplomskega študija, namenjenega izobraževanju koncertnih glasbenikov solistov (concertmusicus), ki ga je leta 2018 prav tako z magna cum laude zaključila.

Veliko zanimanje za historialno glasbo, ki ga kaže Ana Julija, pa se je izkazalo v dvoletnem študiju baročne violine pri priznanem prof. Ryu Terakadu.
